This perfectly elegant little tin makes a great place to store your mending kit.
Materials List:
1 3†diameter chipboard circle
1 Sheet of Kelly Panacci’s Moments in time paper
1 Sheet of Kelly Panacci’s “Time†carstock stickers
Pillow or Quilt batting
A piece of material cut in a six inch circle.
Cut 2 strips of paper ¾†x 12†to cover bottom inside wall of tin.
Cut a 4†diameter circle to fit inside bottom of tin.
For the outside you want to choose an appropriate clock sticker to cover the wording on the tin. I used a little Crystal Lacquer to put on the hands of the clock sticker to give it some dimension.
The next step is to use the chipboard circle, batting and material to make a pin cushion for the lid.
Place material upside down on your work surface then place the batting on top. The chipboard circle will go on top of the batting and then just as if you are upholstering you bring the material up to cover the back of the chip board and adhere. Work from opposites sides to get a tight fit.
An important note: Be sure that your pin cushion is no more then three inches in Diameter, or your lid will not fit properly.
