Top Ten Crafty Things to do on National Scrapbooking Day!
The top ten scrapbooking activities for National Scrapbooking Day:
1. Attend a crop or scrapbooking party! It's great to have motivation, and scrapbooking with friends is a great way to spur your creativity and keep you motivated. If you didn't plan to attend a crop, be spontaneous and consider inviting some friends over!
2. Go shopping! No scrapper can resist buying some new goodies! If you are on a budget, go straight to the clearance section and find some new papers or embellishments that you can incorporate into some of the laouts that you are getting ready to complete.
3. Scrap by yourself! We all do this on other days of the year, but at the very least, do some scrapbooking by yourself today if you aren't getting together with others.
4. Learn a new technique! Even if you aren't signed up for your local scrapbook stores classes, turn to the internet to learn to learn a new technique for your pages. Visit your favorite search engine or CraftyPlaces.com and type in what you would like to learn about.
5. Join a craft and scrapbooking community! There many scrapbooking communities, and many of them have places where you can upload your pictures and layouts or other craft projects to your online blog! Join the Best Scrapbooking and Crafts membership site for free! Join http:www.myScrap-n-Craft.com
6. Submit your best layouts and articles to myScrap-n-Craft.com! If you find that you are home on Nat'l Scrapbooking Day, create some great pages to display in your own photo album in myScrap-n-Craft and sharing your creative genius with others!
7. Organize! Is your scrapbook area a little cluttered? Spend some time organizing your space and making it more functional for your needs! If you don't want to clean, go out and find some great deals on organizational supplies and tools.
8. Scraplift from others! Alot of sites and scrappers want you to be inspired by their creativity! One of the best ways to get ideas for your own layouts is to see what other scrapbookers have created. Spend some time reviewing your favorite scrapping magazines, sites, and blogs for inspiration.
9. Try something different! Use some of the tools and supplies that you rarely use, or that you may have just recently purchased and have not had a chance to use yet. Try using things that you would normally not use in your scrapbooks.
10. Teach a friend or acquaintence the basics of scrapbooking. Find at least one friend or family member that doesn't scrapbook, invite them over and let them use your supplies to create a few pages. You might just find that you like teaching others, and that you could teach classes for local scrapbook stores, or be the host of your own cropping group!
Just for fun…Did you know that in 1994 Creative Memories started the celebration of National Scrapbooking Day on the first Saturday of May?
