I have many roles in life. I am a stepmother, wife, educator, entrepreneur and, of course, a scrapbooker. When I began scrapbooking several years ago, I had no clue what it was really about. I had a friend introduce me to Creative Imaginations and I gathered an impression of scrapbooking based on those crop nights with her. Time went on and I got busier, and scrapbooking fell onto the wayside. Finally, a few years ago, scrapping revitalized itself in my heart. The face of scrapbooking has changed over time, but the desired outcome is still the same- to preserve cherished memories and have stories to tell. Scrapbooking has been a major aspect of my life over the past year. From August to May, I teach special needs children in a rural area of town. But it is summertime now, so you’ll often find me working at my local scrapbook store, at home doing layouts, or being a scrapbook advocate. I would love to see the day that scrapbooking has made its presence widely across the globe. It’s such a uniquely fulfilling hobby that I feel everyone should become aware of it! When I am not scrapbooking, I can usually be found reading mysteries, playing computer games or surfing the net. I love to spend time with my wonderful husband, traveling whenever our schedules permit. After all, I need more pictures for my scrapbooks! I am really looking forward to working with the team at Craftyplaces and to meeting new people in our scrapbooking community!
