Introducing Design Team Member Jennifer Stutzman

Jennifer is one of our newest members to the design team here at Crafty Places and having already seen some of her work I just know you will thoroughly enjoy her unique style……welcome Jennifer!

When Jennifer was asked some crafty questions, this is what she replied:

How long have you been scrapping? I have been scrapbooking since 1997. The scrapbooking bug really hit me hard when I had my daughter 3 years ago.

What are your favorite tools and supplies? I really enjoy rubons and a good piece of sandpaper! I really like to try several different looks in my scrapbooking. Sometimes i like my pages to be really clean cut and soft and other times I like them to be bright and distressed. I really like to change the mood of my layouts to reflect the pictures.

Are you active on any message board and if so which ones?

Scrapgoods, Two Peas In a Bucket, Circuit and many more..wow I sound a little addicted!

Are you on any other design teams? If so, why do you want to be on more than one?

I am actually on a design team for a local scrapbook store. I just love sharing my art with others. I get a big kick out of being scraplifted too. i consider it the ultimate flattery! I love seeing my art posted on message boards and hanging up in the stores.

Why do you want to be on a design team? The biggest thing I get from being on a design team is the love of a good challenge! Recently I was challenged to do some graduation layouts and it made me did out some old photos of ME and actually get them done! Also, i love when i am challenged to try a different paper line or product that I normally wouldnt pick. I am often really happy with the results. It challenges me to think outside the box.

What is your design style? I think every scrapbooker has a hard time answering this. I feel like I change my style to reflect the pictures. If I have a picture of my daughter sleeping I will make the page really soft and light and girly to reflect the mood. If I have pictures of a party i tend to use brighter colors.

In an average week, approximately how much time do you spend scrapbooking or crafting?

I probably spend anywhere between 5-15 hours. It just depends on the week. I love to scrapbook after my kids go to bed. That being said I often go to 12 hour crops on saturdays! Does dream time count? Sometimes i even dream about layouts! ha ha ha

What do you feel you could bring to the Design Team at Crafty Places? A unique style and hopefully a lot of ideas for others to scraplift
