Lots of Colour Scrapbook Layouts
As Summer comes to an end we would like to close on a coulorful note and give you some great examples for using colour to showcase your beautiful beachy photos. These layouts were submitted by design team member Jayne Laughlin.
First Layout: I wanted to add a colourful title so decided that the photos I was going to scrap had to have a beach theme.

I made the title 'beach' out of a big photo. Glued it onto chipboard ,cut out the letters ,sanded edges quite a bit.
Second Layout: I added a large blossom to brighten up a rather muted coloured L/O. It brought the L/O to life. I inked edges of patterned papers and as I couldnt fit in the title spaghetti bolognaise with the chipboard letters I had purchased I shortened it to Spag Bol.

Third Layout: Another tip to brighten up dull or natural toned L/O is to add a colourful photo. Though even the colours of the pattern papers used here scream 'Heritage & old' The photo is quite the oppisite. I added a bit of hessian for texture & cut flowers with my bigshot die cutter. The alphabet is stickers.

Fourth Layout: & co-ordinating card is purely using Bright tropical patterned paper & ribbon. I've also used a summery fun circle stamp in both.

The L/O has acrllic alphabet letters.
The card could be used for all sorts of summery ocaisions, ive used it as a bon voyage card for my husbands parents who are going on a med cruise.
These two items are quite simple but really effective due to their boldness.
Fifth Layout: if all else fails and you want bright and bold L/os then have a look through your old stash for lots of little colourful pieces of card or paper….here i punched 1" squares out of various patterned papers and it really made the L/O come to life and i hardly used any paper at all. A bit of ribbon ,some bubbley shaped stamps ,hand cut title & a blossom pulled this L/O together and made it even brighter !!!!
